I Can Work! ~ Angela Mahoney
Angie Mahoney authored a pre-vocational program called I Can Work! The I Can Work! program is a five-module course designed to integrate communication skills with hands-on prevocational training in the areas of job readiness, clerical, retail, food service, and the grocery industry. I Can Work! serves to introduce and educate young adults with special needs and who are interested in working in their community. This program is geared toward middle school and high school students. Additionally, this program can support recent graduates, ages twenty-one through twenty-five who are transitioning from school to the workplace.
REST By Gait ~ Harriet Phillips & Marilyn Brown
GAIT LLC is the company co-founded by Harriet Phillips and Marilyn Brown in 2012. They established the company to research, engineer, design, manufacture and market REST®. REST stands for Relaxing Equine Simulator Therapy. It is an electro-mechanical seat intended for use by the neurodiverse community: children and adults affected by autism spectrum disorders, attention hyperactive deficit disorders, and trauma. REST received two U.S. patents in 2016 and is currently being manufactured in St. Joseph, Michigan, about 45 minutes from the corporate home in South Bend, Indiana.

If I Need Help ~ Erin & Bruce Wilson
If I Need Help is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization working to reunite those who are lost, disoriented or can’t self-advocate with their loved ones and caregivers. They use QR Code Technology that can be accessed by computer or cell phone to provide help, emergency iD and peace of mind. They offer a free online member profile and Emergency Q&A that can be edited in real time and emailed or printed in an emergency. Their customizable iD products include iD cards, & wearables such as shoe/dog tags, patches, pins/clips, & apparel.
John Dickerson is the former Director of the Arc of Indiana. He started a new venture and developed the App, Quillo, to promote better relationships and engagement among disability support staff!
